With maybe a few too many random materials lying around the farm, waiting for that perfect moment they can fulfill their true destiny, it’s always nice to see it actually happen. We have wild black raspberries that we love to harvest throughout the summer, and we wanted to add a few colors to that spectrum. So, we took some of the leftover lumber pieces from our fencing upgrade to make some raised beds for our new red and golden raspberries. It was a win-win-win! And even though the goats slipped the fence—yes, Tommy, we know who the real ring leader is—the berry bushes have survived their first year!

We even got two red raspberries from them which lasted a grand total of the time it took to get from the stem to our quality berry control person’s mouth. For reference, that’s more than a blink and less time than it took to fish the phone out for a picture.
