Road trip! We put out some hay, topped up the water troughs, and prayed our elderberries wouldn't be overrun by Japanese beetles by the time we returned because it was time for the American Elderberry Conference. We learned so much from some of the leading authorities in American elderberry--the Tommy of American elderberries, some might say.

The kids loved staying on the cattle farm at the AirBnB too. The views were breathtaking.
