It's a big day on the farm! After experimenting and growing a small army of elderberry bushes over the course of three years, thanks to our beloved Uncle Tommy who believed in our dream, we have enough cuttings this year to officially begin planting our field. But first things first! While we have greatly appreciated the hard work our small herd of goats have put into making this plot of land the most glowingly robust and fertile chunk of soil since the Garden of Eden, we do need to set some new boundaries for the herd--literally. So… we will be sectioning out the space where the berry bushes will live.
And what does Tommy—the goat, not the uncle, though named after him for their matching sassy attitudes—have to say about this?
“You work and you work, and do a good job, and how to the humans repay you? They take the sunniest corner of the field with my favorite berry patch. It’s an outrage.”
And despite our beloved goat mascot leading a strike, we were able to entice the hoof-hearted beasts away with some sweet feed.
